[TIPS] HOW TO HIDE DRIVES IN MY COMPUTER (PARTITION)

How to hide a drive in windows XP and windows Vista. Drives like C, D, E, F, G, H and
Whatever drives you want to hide.
It means like you want to hide partitions on your hard disk like C, D, and E etc.
This trick is normally useful when you have any important data or privet files which you don’t want others to see. For this Hiding your drive is really useful.
You can hide any of your drive in different ways.
1. You can hide your drives by using free software called TweakUI,
2. You can hide by simple commands through command prompt.
Let’s discuss all these three above mentioned methods to hide drives in windows
1) How to hide drives using TweakUI (For windows XP)
In This method you have to use free software called TweakUI from Microsoft
This software is very easy to use.

2. Run TweakUI and Navigate to My Computer –> Drives
3. Uncheck the drive which you want to hide
4. Click Apply button at the bottom right.
5. Now you will not see the hidden drive in my computer after clicking apply.
2) How to Hide Drives form Command Prompt (For XP and Vista)
1. Click on Start Menu >> Run and Type diskpart and press Enter key
2. After enter Dos Window will open up, type list volume and press Enter key
3. Type remove letter E and press Enter key (To Hide E: Drive)
Note: It may require reboot sometimes and don’t worry about your data your data will remain same and unaltered
4. To unhide E: Drive Type assign letter E and press Enter key
For hiding other drives repeat the same procedure like C, D etc.
