HOW TO OPEN A JAMMED CD / DVD DRIVE OR OPEN IT WHEN POWER OFF
Do you like this story?
Optical drives are the heart of our system. And this heart often gives us a heart attack when the CD / DVD gets jammed inside the drive.
Also many times I realise after switching off the system that the DVD I borrowed from a friend is still inside. So how do we quickly get the disc out without much pain? Here is a simple and a less known trick…
All Optical drives have a small PIN size hole on the front. All you need is a Pin or a Paper Clip to open up the drive. Just stretch the Paper Clip and push it in the hole. Sometimes it might be little resistive but would be just fine with a little force. This is a manual and easily opens the optical drive even if its in use / or power off.
